Recently, Art started creeping into the lives, thoughts and souls of the nation and it started claiming the role and position it once had.

The pieces displayed in this exhibition vary from old to new, from new artists to ones who has been known as the founders of the Sudanese Art movement such as Alsalhi and his student Oteibi.

Papa Costa in Khartoum

One of the hottest spots here in Khartoum, Sudan is Papa Costa which is located in Al Jumhouriya Street.
They serve the best pizza I've ever tried here in Khartoum. On top of all that, their grill open buffet is extremely delicious.

One special thing about this place is the live performance that takes place every Thursday. The band that plays at the restaurant have been together for over 40 years and the lead singer doesn't sing the words of songs, he hums them then add the odd "yeah.. yo.. heya".

I'm fallen head over heels with the place and its relaxed environment.

Art Exhibition at Mahdi Art Centre

These are some photos of the art exhibition that took place at the Mahdi Art Centre in the heart of Khartoum.

The Sudanese Artist is Samer Abbas.

The Jazz Night at the British Council

Winter has finally started and the weather is breezy, that only means one thing the night activities at the cultural clubs and everywhere around Khartoum has officially started.

The 3 cultural clubs, the British Council, the French Cultural Institute and the German one.

Next month the European Film Festival will start as well which is a massive thing here in Sudan and it is highly celebrated by the Sudanese as there aren't  any cinemas in the country and there hardly any foreign films other than American movies.
