If you have been to Khartoum, you will come across many ladies in street with dinky stalls selling tea throughout the day and night.
Tea Ladies or Sittat AlShaay are one of the main sights of Khartoum City. They sell hot drinks some are more creative than others and will go as far as selling cappuccino or lattes but mostly they'll sell the ordinary hot drinks; tea, coffee, tea with milk, coffee with milk and all the herbal teas.
If you catch them early enough, some will even sell fried local sweets similar to doughnuts that you only have with tea for breakfast.
Another thing you need to be aware of is what they call their drinks. They are extremely creative in naming things for example coffee is "Jabana", coffee with milk is "Faransy" which means french (my favourite drink ever).
If you're visiting, tea ladies are a must try. They are extremely friendly and their drinks are great.
