Another art related activity took place in Khartoum, Sudan but this time it's an exhibition by my favourite Sudanese contemporary artist Mr. Otaybi.
Mohamed AbdAlla Otaybi was born in 1948 and he is one of the well known contemporary artists in Sudan. He had exhibitions in different parts of the world and was awarded a couple of awards in Kuwait and The Emirates. On top of his art work, he participated in the making of 2 children story books where he did all its illustration. "Sudanese Singers" and "Fatima Sugarcane" were in both Arabic and French.
His use of bright strong colours is superb and what makes his art work stand out is the outlining around his shapes and figures. Personally, I prefer his coloured pieces over the black and white ones.
The art exhibition will be till February 2nd at French Institute on Ali Dinar Street.
Tanx i like it.maya
