"Rugaag" or "Ruqaaq" is almost similar to pancakes however it is extremely crunchy and thin, it is served at tea shops all over the country specially here in Sohar area. These pancakes are served with tea (which is called "shy"), what's unique about their tea that it is served in any flavour of your choice -cardamon, Saffron, thyme, aniseed to name just a few-. The pancakes are also served with a topping of your choice -cheese and honey, honey,cheese and egg... etc-.
My breakfast was saffron tea with honey and cheese pancakes :)
P.S. the best plave to serve these is in Saham the city next door.
